Pistols
built 655 days ago
Pistols were firearms used as sidearms or backup weapons. A pistol would tend to have less firepower than its rifle or carbine cousins. Blaster pistols could be seen just about everywhere in the galaxy. A pistol may have been the one of the most common weapons, but was usually not the weapon of choice, mainly due to its short range and lack of power. However, some pistols, like the DC-17 hand blaster, had incredible amounts of power and firing speed for a sidearm.

Channelling the spirit of Dr Dre on the anthemic 'Something To Trust', the Dub Pistols approach the last few tracks in full on intergalactic hip-hop mode. 'Mach 10's rolling beats are given an authentic treatment with guest vocalist T.K.'s super slick delivery taking things to the next level. 'Stronger's Roots Reggae lilt and the reflective 'Gave You Time' provide a polished denouement to what is undoubtedly the Dub Pistols' finest hour.

Pistols were commonly smaller than rifles, with enough power to kill a humanoid and punch through body armor, though they did not have the energy to pierce the hull of a starship. Ownership and use was regulated in many systems, generally in the form of restrictions and regulations. Coruscant was one such example.

TEQUILA, Mexico TEQUILA, Mexico -- Men in black SWAT suits, with pistols on their hips and combat knives sheathed to their thighs, stand guard over vast fields of blue agave plants, prized for their juice that produces tequila. Around the clock they patrol the dirt paths that crisscross endless acres of the cactus-like plants, five-foot-tall starbursts that tint the valley floor smoky-blue in the namesake capital of Mexico's national drink.
