Pierre Trudeau is an experienced R&D leader with more than 18 years of software development experience. Trudeau founded Colubris in 2000 with a team of industry-recognized software and security technologists. Building from this core, the efforts of the Colubris technology team have enabled the highly-efficient processing and packaging of a portfolio of strong security tools in a small-form-factor wireless LAN access point. Trudeau ... successfully steered the company as President through its initial growth stage. Immediately prior to founding Colubris, Trudeau was the vice president of research & development at TouchTunes Digital Jukebox, a provider of secure digital music distribution technology. Prior to that, he was the Director, Advanced Communications Division of Eicon Technology Corporation, a worldwide provider of secure connectivity products for the ISDN, ADSL, VPN, and X.25 markets.

Pierre Trudeau was one of the "Three Wise Men" from Quebec - Trudeau, labour leader Jean Marchand and newspaper editor Gerard Pelletier - who went to Ottawa in 1965. Trudeau soon became Minister of Justice, and oversaw amendments to the Canadian Criminal Code on abortion and homosexuality, and divorce reform. His words "the state has no place in the bedrooms of the nation" are still quoted frequently in Canada.

Pierre Trudeau has inspired a devoted following amongst Canadians. This began with "Trudeaumania," which describes the excitement generated in his initial election campaign. The excitement apparently was the result of Trudeau's charisma and the perception that he was good looking. And from those superficial beginnings, Trudeau's vast failings were largely ignored because of this initial love affair, much like an abusive husband's actions are ignored by his wife. Trudeau's imposition of martial has been excused. His cozying up to dictators has been rationalized.

As if he were sitting across the table from you, Pierre Trudeau reminisces about his life in an informal, direct way. He starts with his memories of his family, especially his mother and father, to whom the book is dedicated. There are memorable events from childhood here, such as a visit to complain to the principal on his second day at school. Later there is a lunchroom encounter with a high school bully and then, at the age of fifteen, real tragedy.

As justice minister, Pierre Trudeau was responsible for removing laws against homosexuality from the Criminal Code of Canada, famously remarking: "The view we take here is that there's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation." Trudeau ... liberalized divorce laws, and clashed with Quebec Premier Daniel Johnson, Sr., during constitutional negotiations.

Pierre Trudeau was born in 1919, Margaret Sinclair in 1948. Despite the almost 30 year age difference, the two became very close. This was perhaps due to their political backgrounds. Margaret Sinclair was the daughter of James Sinclair, a former Liberal Member of Parliament and former Minister of Fisheries.
