Trudeau graduated from the University of Montreal with honors in law. He was called to the bar in 1944. He opposed conscription of Canadian soldiers during WWII and did not fight in the war. Later in life, this came back to haunt him. His opponents used it against him when he entered politics.

MONTREAL, Oct 3 (LSN.ca) - There has been a disturbing void in most reporting on the death of Pierre Trudeau these past five days. Very little of the substantial negatives of Trudeau's policies have been addressed. The media canonization of the former Prime Minister is conditioning Canadians to be led even more in a wrong direction by the Chretien Liberals. Balance is seriously needed.

Pierre attended a long list of schools throughout his life. Trudeau received an honors Law Degree from the University of Montreal and an honors degree in Political Economics from Harvard. As well Trudeau received a number of honorary degree's from various Universities around the world.
