Photon: Photon Ii
built 634 days ago
Like its predecessor the Photon, the Photon II can simultaneously act as an FFT analyzer to do on-line analysis while streaming data to the computer’s hard disk, so there is no need to wait for post-processing to see critical results. The Photon II can stream data to the PC hard disk, via USB interface, at an amazing rate of 192,000 samples per second for a single channel. It ... has new low voltage input ranges that yield an extremely low noise floor, which is often required for acoustic measurements, or very low level vibration signals.

Photon Screws: The Photon II uses four "0" (Aught) screws to hold the case together. This makes it much easier to replace the battery on the Photon II (but you still have to find a screwdriver to fit the tiny screws).

Photon II is was designed for the challenges of field measurements. It’s small, lightweight packaging make it easy to carry and accommodate. The Photon II weighs only 8 ounces (227 grams) and has a wallet-sized footprint. The Photon is powered completely by the PC, via the USB interface. No other external power or batteries are needed.
