The quaint Village of Phoenicia is situated off Route 28, in the Town of Shandanken, about 25 miles west of Kingston and exit 19 on the Thruway. It is home to many artistic shops, cute restaurants, antique shops and the center for tubing on the wild Esopus creek. It is a great destination if you want to be close to Woodstock, but not pay Woodstock prices. You are about 15 miles from the Belleayre ski area and 30 miles from Hunter and Windham.
