Philadelphia Inquirer editor Amanda Bennett will be replaced by Bill Marimow, a former Baltimore Sun editor and Inquirer city editor who is now ombudsman at National Public Radio, the paper announced Wednesday. He recently resigned as NPR's vice president for news and information.
The advertising needs approval before it can go up, and representatives from Philadelphia Media Holdings, which publishes The Inquirer and the Daily News, sought that permission this morning from the Zoning Board of Adjustment. PMH is seeking to cover large swaths of the building, at 400 N. Broad St., with advertising "wall wraps" and to dangle a 50-foot inflatable bee from the upper floors.
The multi-tiered campaign will ... include print ads in national magazines and regional newspapers, including a breakthrough buzz campaign in QVC's hometown publication, The Philadelphia Inquirer. Online advertising, viral, buzz and direct mail components will also be introduced throughout the fourth quarter of 2007 and into 2008, particularly as holiday shopping gets under way. All creative will highlight QVC as a social shopping experience, offering its customers unique products and the experience around them.
