Katerina Akassoglou, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, is one of this year’s recipients of the prestigious Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers. The award was given to Katerina at a White House ceremony today by John H. Marburger III, President Bush’s science adviser and director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
Case Western Reserve University Pharmacology is not the study of agriculture, farms, or farming (“Farm Ecology”). Nor is it a training program for aspiring pharmacists who dispense drugs.
