Persian carpets fascinate the whole world by their unique, pleasant, and varied design. Each has its own beauty and perfect harmony. The works of the designers together with the efforts of dyers and weavers has resulted in the production of the most glorious creation, the “Persian carpet”. They are durable, unique, and with the special quality of wool and brilliant colors. Thus, these characteristics gave Persian carpet its world wide reputation. Nowadays most of the carpet industries weave their carpets using Persian designs and they know that they cannot improve on the existing ones.
More recently, the demand for cards during the Persian Gulf conflict inspired American Greetings to create two new lines of cards. Greetings from the Gulf -- sold in military tent exchanges and aboard aircraft carriers -- was created for service men and women who wanted to stay in touch with their families back home. America Misses You communicated patriotism and support to loved ones serving in the Gulf.

Example showing Nastaʿlīq's (Persian) proportion rules.[ 1 ] The Persian alphabet ... modifies some letters from the Arabic alphabet. For example, alef with hamza below ( إ ) changes to alef ( ا ); words using various hamzas get spelled with yet another kind of hamza (so that مسؤول becomes مسئول); and teh marbuta ( ة ) usually, but not always, changes to heh ( ه ) or teh ( ت ). Teh'marbuta is often used in Arabic to denote female gender. Persian nouns do not have gender, which may explain why the teh'marbuta never crossed over to the Persian alphabet.
