In the Championship Game the Penguins came back and won 1-0 over the Red Raiders with a shutout by Ellen Blunt and game winning goal by Rachel Bruff on a blast from the point! It was Rachel's 3rd game winning goal of the weekend and Ellen's 3rd shutout. Despite being whistled for more than their share of penalties, the Penguins kept it together during this game to take home the trophy.

Well, the Penguins did their part, finishing 10th overall in the NHL, but Esposito had a less than stellar campaign with Quebec and questions were raised about his heart. He saw his stock drop tremendously. When he was available at No. 20, Shero and company grabbed the player.

The Penguins played in the Intermediate level of the Spring Fling Tournament this year. The group played well throughout the tournament with wins over the Northbrook Frozen Snappers andMotorCity Storm from Detroit in earning the Intermediate Championship.
