Paul Scofield, who played the cap portion in the West End theater premiere, played More again in the first of two capture on layer versions (1966), pleasing an Oscar in the process. The capture on layer ... stars Robert Shaw as Henry VIII, Orson Welles as Wolsey, a fresh John Hurt as More’s retribution Richard Rich, and an elder Wendy Hiller as More’s second wife. It was aimed at by Fred Zinnemann. In toting up to the Best Actor Oscar won by Scofield, the capture on layer won Academy Awards for screenplay, cinematography, set of clothes design, Best Director, and Best Picture.
