Chances are the toothless goons on most minor league hockey teams would take great pleasure in pounding a pretty boy like Patrick Swayze into the ice. But in Hollywood’s version of that violent sport, Swayze’s star shines brightly. He plays a gritty veteran charged with showing a flashy rookie (Lowe) how to survive in the rough and tumble game. There are plenty of fights, thick French Canadian accents and cameos from some phenomenal third- and fourth-line NHLers like Peter Zezel and Steve Thomas.

Patrick was cast in The Outsiders (1983), Frances Ford Coppola's movie, which uses a Brat-Pack cast of Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, and Tom Cruise to tell the story of rival teen cliques back in the '60s.

Although it is decidedly Swayze-free, the sex scene between Rob Lowe and Cynthia Gibb is one of the hottest you’re ever likely to see. It gets extra marks for inventive use of a water bottle, too.
