Patrick Stewart: Life
built 185 days ago
PATRICK Stewart (above) is winning rave reviews treading the London boards as Macbeth, and so should the waxworker who made a copy of his head for the show. At the end, Macbeth is decapitated by his rival Macduff, who holds the dripping head aloft as the lights go down. Says writer Tom Sykes, who saw the production the other night, "The final scene takes your breath away. It would have been tempting to just make a cue ball, but in fact the model of Stewart's head is incredibly lifelike - right down to the facial features. It even has a little moustache exactly like the one he's grown for the part."
