LYCOS RETRIEVER
Patrick Bergin: Ireland
built 636 days ago
Patrick returned to Ireland as the Bishop of Ireland. He understood the slaves and common folk of Ireland and was used by God mightly. Despite the constant threat to his life, Patrick traveled widely, baptizing, confirming, preaching, building churches, schools, and monasteries. Patrick succeeded in converting almost the entire population of the island.

This is the first feature-length film about St. Patrick and all of his efforts towards liberating Ireland. Growing up as the son of a wealthy and noble family, young Patrick was kidnapped by Irish raiders and saw firsthand the land and its people. After being ransomed back home, Patrick was unable to forget the land and went back on a one-man crusade to bring peace and justice to the island nation.
