Patch: Files

"Shavlik's industry-leading technology and services are the perfect complement to SupportSoft Patch+," said Chris Grejtak, senior vice president of products and marketing at SupportSoft. "The combined offering fills a critical gap in patch delivery; namely, ensuring that enterprise endpoints -- both inside and outside the firewall -- are effectively assessed, patched, and verified in real time. This is critical for regulatory and IT compliance, as well as making sure that all corporate end-users remain productive."
These patches are older than the last patch. If you wish to add mirrors please only list them if you have at least 4 files available for these versions. If your mirror has only 1-3 files it should be put in the #General Mirror Sites section instead to reduce flooding.

You might prefer to commit your change locally (hg ci), in which case hg export -g can be used to save the patch to a file. In this case the change will remain permanently in your local copy of the repository; if you pull in updates from the server, you will need to merge. This approach has the disadvantage that if the patch is accepted and committed to the official repository, you will ... need to do no-op merges indefinitely.

Some patches are ... part of larger groups of patches available as patch clusters. See the Recommended & Security Patch Clusters SunSolve site. Each cluster has a README file, accessible from the web site, which lists the patches it contains.

Applying patches, modifying files according to instructions in the patch file, is the domain of patch programs. There are many different programs with this functionality. some stand-alone (patch), some integrated in IDE's (Eclipse, XCode).
