New Leaf Paper has earned certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for its high-end gloss coated paper, New Leaf Primavera. The Forest Stewardship Council supports responsible use of forest resources and its FSC certification logo has become a hallmark of environmental responsibility in the paper industry. New Leaf Paper further augmented the environmental specifications of New Leaf Primavera by increasing the post-consumer recycled waste content (PCW) to 60% and manufacturing it with electricity that is offset with Green-e certified renewable energy certificates. Most recycled coated papers in the U.S. fall well below this standard, containing only 10% to 30% PCW. New Leaf Paper set the previous standard with their product lines New Leaf Reincarnation Matte and New Leaf Sakura 100 Silk, made with 50% PCW and 100% PCW respectively.
