The remote pocket pager is powered by 2-AAA batteries. When mare is in foaling position for 7+ seconds, the repeater sends a signal to the pocket pager. Your pager responds with an audible beeping alert or set to vibating mode. When batteries are low the pager will beep twice every 5 minutes.

Setting up a separate UP address (as described below) is not necessary if all you need is a mail->pager gateway [no www]. If this is all you need, follow the instructions found at: ftp://ftp.cs.unm.edu/pub/chris/paging/Sendmail-and-virtual-domains.txtto set up a MX entry for your paging hostname. When you've done this, skip ahead to the "SETTING UP SENDMAIL" section.

Their equipment generates e-mails for all sorts of things and getting it on their pager is very helpful. Not only can you charge for the basic alpha pager service, but you can charge extra for the e-mail address!
