The frequency of an Oscillator is in Hertz, which is cycles per second. For reference, 440 Hz is the A above middle C on the piano, and if you double the frequency, the pitch will change by an octave. When changing the frequency, the portamento value will be taken into account. When the portamento value is greater than zero, the Oscillator will smoothly change frequency to the frequency set with the setFreq method from its current frequency, over the number of milliseconds last specified by a call to the portamento method. You can turn off portamento by calling noPortamento, which is the same as setting the portamento to 0.
The traditional way to interpret the Oscillator number is as follows. A reading of +100 on the Oscillator means the market has become overbought. While a market can stay overbought for an extended period of time, traders should be alert to any signals of selling pressure. When the oscillator reaches –100 the opposite is true and traders should be alert to a rally.
The Oscillator has a Hard Sync input which is used to synchronize multiple oscillators. Use the pulse waveform from a slower oscillator into the Hard Sync inputs on higher frequency oscillators to synchronize them. This will eliminate beating. Strange effects can be created by synchronizing oscillators at non-multiple frequencies.
Genesys Oscillator Synthesis saves design time for a broad spectrum of RF designers, resulting in practical, working with less dependence on specialized skills. Other Genesys features can then be used to increase the oscillator performance, consider new approaches, and make the designs more robust and manufacturable.
The August positive divergence in the Chaikin Oscillator foreshadowed a sharp advance in the Accumulation/Distribution Line. This divergence was longer and could have been referred to as a trough divergence. In a trough divergence, there are two noticeable troughs, one higher than the other, that form the divergence. The bullish, or positive, momentum was confirmed when the Chaikin Oscillator formed a bullish centerline crossover in late August.

The McClellan Oscillator was first designed by Sherman and Marian McClellan in 1969. As a substitute for this indicator, traders can ... stochastics or RSI when applied to an index such as the S&P 500 or New York Stock Exchange Index (NYSE), as these are both overbought/oversold measures. The McClellan Oscillator, however, adds a different perspective because it works with market breadth. Breadth is defined as the balance between advancing issues (all stocks up at least a penny on the day) and declining issues (all stocks down by at least a penny). In a strong market, advancers will usually overwhelm decliners by a significant margin. The opposite is true when a market turns weak.
