Nobilon International BV, part of Organon, a biopharmaceutical business unit of Akzo Nobel, was founded in 2003. It has production and R&D facilities in Boxmeer and Oss, the Netherlands. The biotechnology company is dedicated to develop, produce and market human vaccines against infectious diseases, building on existing expertise within sister companies Intervet and Organon. Nobilon focuses on respiratory and traveler's diseases. One of its core expertises is large scale cell culture production of viruses, including influenza. Nobilon currently employs approximately 75 staff in production and R&D.

Gene Logic Inc., of Gaithersburg, Md., said NV Organon, of Oss, the Netherlands, agreed to use its platform of toxicogenomics services to assist in the assessment and prioritization of a preclinical pipeline. Over the next 18 months, Gene Logic will provide a series of ToxScreen reports and Mechanism of Toxicity reports for use in evaluating the safety and toxicity of Organon's drug candidates. A late 13th-century Byzantine manuscript from Constantinople containing Aristotle’s Organon (De interpretatione, Analytica priora, Analytica posteriora, and Topica), accompanied by diagrams and other textual materials copied during the Paleologan Renaissance at the time of the Paleologi Dynasty, 1259-1448. The manuscript is extensively annotated with marginal scholia and interlinear glosses, some of which are unknown and as yet unpublished. Many of the scholia and diagrams in the manuscript appear to have been added by John Chortasmenos (ca. 1370-1430). Commentators include Alexander of Aphrodisias, Nicephorus Gregoras, Leo Magentus, John Philoponus, Michael Psellus, and Themistius.

Sugammadex is a novel selective relaxant binding agent (SRBA) under development by Organon, a part of Schering-Plough Corporation. Sugammadex was designed to reverse the effects of rocuronium bromide (ZEMURON/ESMERON(R)/ESLAX(R)) or vecuronium bromide, muscle relaxants commonly used during surgeries that require profound muscle relaxation. Anesthesiologists use muscle relaxation to improve surgical conditions, to facilitate intubation and mechanical ventilation, and to reduce the chance of complications.

Deca Durabolin is the Organon brand name for Nandrolone decanoate. World wide it is one of the most popular injectable steroids. Deca's popularity is likely due to the fact that it exhibits significant anabolic effects with minimal androgenic side effects. Considered by many the best overall steroid for a man to use (side effects vs. results). Deca Durabolin is most commonly injected once per week at a dosage of 400 mg. With this amount, estrogen conversion is slight so gynecomastia is usually not a problem. Mirtazapine has been available in other countries since 1994, Organon said in a statement. "The Japanese market is an important market and we are confident that mirtazapine's fast onset of action and tolerability will make it a first line option for the treatment of depression in Japan," said Emile van Dongen, Organon's executive vice president of global sales.
