Organon is a project manager that uses the Perl/Tk module. It is written for those who use stand-alone editors to write their code but would like to have a tool to manage the file groups they work with. It can be used with any programming language, and it can be easily tailored to match your needs. You can configure the standard tools (dedicated to editing, compilation, and execution), and you can define any number of new user tools. Each tool (standard or user-defined) is associated with a string containing shell commands to be executed.

The Organon is the name given by Aristotle's followers, the Peripatetics, to the standard collection of six of his works on logic. The works are Categories, Prior Analytics, De Interpretatione, Posterior Analytics, Sophistical Refutations, and Topics.

As part of the agreement, scientists from Organon will work at the Philips Life Sciences Facilities to identify, validate, and above all, exploit novel biomarkers. The Life Sciences Facilities, situated at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, is a multi-disciplinary research facility, which provides the necessary biological, chemical and technical infrastructure and expertise for research and development in the field of translational biomarkers and molecular medicine.

The Organon was used in the school founded by Aristotle at the Lyceum, and some parts of the works seem to be a scheme of a lecture on logic. So much so that after Aristotle's death, his publishers (Andronicus of Rhodes in 50 BC, for example) collected these works.

Pfizer has decided to drop out of its collaboration with Organon to develop asenapine for schizophrenia and bipolar disease after completing a review of the compound and its place in the pharma giant's "overall portfolio." Last October researchers issued interim Phase III data that suggested they may not have enough evidence to back an NDA.
