On February 22, 2007 Oprah produced an Oscar special on ABC TV. She featured some of her own Oscar-winning friends interviewing the Oscar-winners they most wanted to speak with. Julia Roberts chose George Clooney, Nicole Kidman picked Russell Crowe and Jamie Foxx talked to Sidney Poitier.
On the heels of a failed obesity lawsuit, it relaunched its premium salads, touting them as “adult Happy Meals,” with Oprah Winfrey’s personal trainer, Bob Greene, as the spokesman for the line. Most recently, it rolled out the new Fruit & Walnut Salad and a new line of premium chicken sandwiches. McDonald’s VP of communications Mike Donahue says the company has dedicated a large (though unspecified) budget to fitness advocacy.
Oprah with the Secret Teachers This is a first for Oprah to have a follow-up show so quickly after the original Show on February 8th. The Oprah website was flooded with visitor, more than twice the normal volume after a normal show. She received overwhelmingly of emails from people telling her how the show had changed their lives. Marriages had been saved; relationships had been rekindled; Hops Dreams and Inspiration were awaken; Hatreds had disapated. This is a must see show, Oprah with Michael Beckwith and James Ray.
Although Winfrey's audience is 75% female[81], some of Winfrey's biggest fans are gay males. For example, one of the stars of the reality TV show The Benefactor was a gay African American man named Kevin who was so obsessed with Winfrey that he would ask "What would Oprah do?" before making any strategic decision.
