Bob Greene, exercise physiologist and trainer to Oprah Winfrey, has authored a new lifestyle and diet book called the "Best Life Diet." Just released and already quickly moving to the bestseller lists, the "Best Life Diet" focuses on practical ways to make easy, healthy choices to lose weight. A broadcast of the "Oprah Winfrey Show" devoted to the book aired on January 15th, 2007. To help consumers with these choices, Greene partnered with Unilever and other food companies that have shown a commitment to improving the nutritional profile and ingredients in their products.

A newcomer to political advocacy, Oprah last night held a fund-raiser for Barack Obama at her compound in California. The powerful television star raised $3 million for Obama’s campaign and pledged to guests that she will do anything and everything she can do to make Obama the next President of the United States. Oprah is taking a chance, as not all her viewers are Democrats, but she is hoping to do for Obama what she has already done for so many authors, by stamping her approval on a candidacy now instead of a book.

Dave says he and Regina have gotten lots of nice baby presents, and Oprah sent a tub of children's books and stuffed animals. Later Dave says it was another Oprah. Who knows?
