(LSE (AIM): FUN and TSX: FUN), combines elements of collectible card games, tactical miniatures games and roleplaying games into an innovative online strategy game. Players collect Runes that represent champions, equipment, relics and spells. From a deck of 20 Runes, players summon their forces into play to battle for Nora, a vital resource used to summon additional Runes into play. Each turn players must make strategic choices in Rune placement that are vital to success.

Online game publisher WildTangent has ... created three online racing games, which can be accessed on the Chrysler.com, Jeep.com and Dodge.com Web sites starting in mid-January. The games, "Jeep 4x4 Adventure," "Chrysler West Coast Rally" and "Dodge Racing - HEMI(R) Edition" feature next generation graphics and leading-edge streaming capabilities enabling players to experience a racing-like quality on their PCs that is similar to actual gaming consoles.

As consoles are becoming more like computers, online gameplay is expanding. Once online games started crowding the market, open source networks, such as the Playstation 2, Dreamcast, and Gamecube took advantage of online functionality with its PC game counterpart. Games such as Phantasy star Online have private servers that function on multiple consoles. Dreamcast, PC, Macintosh and GameCube players are able to share one server. Earlier games, like 4x4, Quake III and Need for Speed ... have a similar function with consoles able to interact with PC users using the same server. Usually a company like Electronic Arts or Sega runs the servers until it becomes inactive, in which private servers with their own DNS number can function.

For many trainers, a good starting point for venturing into online games is the creation and use of PowerPoint-based games. Furthermore, PowerPoint files can be uploaded to a server and played using an Internet Explorer browser (recent versions come with the PowerPoint Player plug-in included). Once uploaded to a server, a trainer can access the games and use them during live training sessions. Trainers skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations may want to create their games from scratch.
