In the long and storied history of Notre Dame football, a lot of promising young quarterbacks have played in the shadow of the famous Golden Dome in South Bend. Some of them, like Johnny Lujack, Joe Montana, and Joe Theismann used their years at Notre Dame as a springboard to great careers in the professional ranks. Others, like Rick Mirer, Ron Powlus, and Jarious Jackson never quite lived up to the potential that they showed while playing college ball for the Irish.
