Clipart graphic of King Henry II of France. One prophecy that Nostradamus has been given credit for was the prediction or forecast of the future death of French King Henry II in a joust. Did Nostradamus really predict the death of King Henry II of France in a joust? The reality was that Nostradamus was not much of an astrologer. Nearly every one of the horoscopes he cast for wealthy individuals contained per Peter Lemesurier (op.cit.) one significant error and “about half would contain whole rafts of them”. Because of this Nostradamus expected his clients to have their astrological charts already drawn by expert astrologers prior to seeing him. One may wonder why anyone bothered to see Nostradamus in the first place! Maybe this is similar to getting a “second opinion” after having seen your own doctor, just in case. The problem here is your own doctor is more skilled than the “second opinion”.
It is necessary to mention at this point that Nostradamus was a vegetarian. Because of what he had learnt from the Element Kingdom, as a small boy he became a vegetarian, not eating any meat but some dairy. When he lost his faith after his sister's death, he resumed eating meat, but then became a vegetarian once again in his late 20s. His only vice was red wine - he loved it and drank a lot of it, as well as a port-type wine made in those days. Interestingly, his wife and children ate meat, even though he didn't. Nostradamus didn't believe in pushing his beliefs or way of life onto anyone else, but he would discuss them and guide anyone who was interested in adopting his ways.

Nostradamus’ predictions about famous world events, from Hitler to 9/11, have drawn attention and stirred debate the world over even centuries after his death. Some see a startling pattern of connection to modern events in his words and drawings, while others see nothing but abstractions and empty words. LOST BOOK OF NOSTRADAMUS explores some of the predictions that have given Nostradamus such extraordinary influence today, all the while unveiling the cryptic and frightening drawings in the lost book that take the program to a spectacular and frightening conclusion with critical information for today’s generation.
Question of the Month [One] reason Nostradamus has received so much attention is because a number of his prophecies were very biblical in nature. He warned that in the future there would be signs in the heavens and earthquakes. He warned of a coming world dictator called the Antichrist. He spoke of the resurrection of the dead. He even prophesied that the Jews would go back to Israel and that the Middle East would be the focal point of end time events.

Nostradamus Nostradamus told the king that he should avoid any ceremonial jousting during his 41st year, which the regent's own astrologer had ... asserted. The physician spent the next few years ensconced in the luxury of the royal court, but received word that Catholic authorities were again becoming suspicious of his soothsaying and were about to investigate him. He returned to his hometown of Salon and his wife and children. Finishing volumes VIII through X, he also began work on two additional volumes of Centuries, which were unfinished at the time of his death. On June 28, 1559, in his 41st year, Henry II was injured in a jousting tournament celebrating two marriages in his family. With thousands watching, his opponent's "lance pierced the King's golden visor, entered his head behind the eye, both blinding him and penetrating deep into his brain.

Click to see next page Has Nostradamus predicted the coming Apocalypse along with a thousand other great events? His believers claim that in the 1500s he predicted historic milestones that have or will alter the course of human history, such as the rise of Napoleon and Hitler. Published here are the hard to find original English translations from 1672 to help you answer that question. Finally, you can look through the actual work of Nostradamus to see if you can solve his riddles. He scribed over a thousand quatrains that cover events from the 1500s to the year 3797. Since these were translated by Theodore Garencieres, before the rise of the first two antichrists, they are untainted with the bias of current events.
