The first two lines of this clever fraud mangle real lines of Nostradamus coming from Century 10, Quatrain 72. Then the fraud's next two lines are stolen outright and out of context from the real lines of Century 6 Quatrain 97. Finally, there are no documented prophecies that even come close to what Reuters spread all over the planet as words written by Nostradamus from the year 1564.

In his mid-teens, Nostradamus began studying philosophy, grammar, and rhetoric under the supervision of Catholic priests in Avignon. In 1525 he graduated from the University of Montpillier, and in 1529 he became a physician. (5)

If someone had said that Nostradamus predicted the Apollo dissaster before the event that might count for something, coming after counts for nothing. It isn't even right anyway, even got the crew count wrong.

Here, Nostradamus says that a man from Greater Arabia will lead his forces on an invasion through Europe. This invasion will start a third world war that will be far worse than all the other wars put together (Guentte).

Nostradamus does predict that the earth will be wiped out...but not until 3755 when asteroids hit Earth and fire storms consume the surface. Then in 3797 the Earth will be consumed by an expanding sun and cease to exist. You don't have to worry about that unless you plan to live for over 1700 more years!

Many think that Nostradamus had some mystical powers of prognostication. More scholars tend to think he was little more than the 16th Century equivalent of an astrologer - creating vaguely worded cautions that could easily be applied to a variety of situations. The 16th century mathematician wrote his quatrains in early modern French, and his work has long been subject to translation and interpretation.
