Were the predictions of Nostradamus simply guesswork as some have surmised or was he truly a the greatest prophet the world has ever known? In his predictions of Hitler's rise Nostradamus wrote (notations italicized):

Nostradamus appears not to have made predictions about the World Trade Centre attack or, at least, none that could easily be understood from the quatrains. One of Nostradamus' most date-specific predictions, declares that a "great king of terror" would come from the sky in 1999. Many interpretations were made for 1999 and yet nothing of significance occurred in July of 1999.
