The Ravens maintained their winning ways for the second half of the season, jockeying with the Norwich Navigators for first place in the Northern Division. The Ravens... were prone to running hot and cold. After achieving a solid winning streak of eight contests throughout July, smashing teams such as the Reading Phillies, the Ravens hit some losing streaks that ultimately led to their second place finish at the end of the season. The final result, though, put the team in the Eastern League's Northern Division Championship Series—a remarkable turnaround from last year's dismal 47-95 finish.

Corinne procured four free tickets to a Norwich Navigators baseball game for Monday at Dodd Stadium (vs. the New Britain Rock Cats). The "Gators" are the SF Giants AA farm team. Corinne works at Chelsea Groton Savings Bank, and they maintain a Sky Box at the stadium, and allow employees to use it for almost every game.

DiBella said it took him about a year to raise the money to buy the franchise, which was named the Norwich Navigators at the time. To purchase a major league team – assuming one came on the market – would cost at least 30 times that amount and then that would only net one of the low-end franchises.
