Norway is famous for its soccer. They have a sort of "gathering" called "Tippeligaen". You have 14 teams in tippeligaen. The league consists of teams that don't want to win the league, because then they have to play in Europe. Playing in Europe is to be avoided, because then the teams will have to show how bad they really are. One exception to this is Rosenborg, who try to win, but can't, despite everyone else trying to make them win.

The first indication that Norway had a great team in the making came in the Euro qualifier against Italy on June 5, 1991, where goals from Bohinen and Tore André Dahlum led the side to a 2-1 win. Earlier that night, the Norwegian U21 side had defeated the Italian youngsters 6-0. Norway failed to reach the European Championship finals, but they remained in contention until the very last game, and finished a respectable third behind Soviet Union and Italy.

Citizens of countries belonging to the European Union, plus Iceland and Lichtenstein do not require a permit and are free to live and work in Norway for up to 3 months. (some restrictions apply for recent members of the European Union). You may start from the local office of the public agency NAV, to get legal advise and a list of available jobs. Note that even though the unemployment rate in Norway is very low, short-term employment may be hard to find. (Certainly when not fluent in a Scandinavian language.)If you decide to move there you have to fill in a "Residence Permit" which lasts for 3 years before it needs to be renewed.
