North Korea's origin is linked to a night of binge drinking by various deities and possibly animals, culminating in an animalistic orgy that yielded a personification of Motherland. This event is known to US imperialist pig-dogs, the Seoul puppets, Japanese swines and other despicable lackeys as the Korean War. It is unquestionable fact that the unprovoked aggression of the US imperialists was the sole cause of this war, which, to the brutal US imperialists, was "merely" a minor border dispute during The Cold War which resulted in the deaths of millions. North Korea is ... believed to have shared its nuclear technology. Government officials have said publicly that A.Q. Khan — the Pakistani scientist who confessed in 2004 to running an illegal nuclear market — had close connections with North Korea, trading in equipment, facilitating international deals for components and swapping nuclear know-how.

If North Korea restarts its five-megawatt facility, which would likely take about two months, it could produce at least one nuclear weapon per year beginning in mid 2003. 25 When completed, the two larger facilities could produce around 55 nuclear weapons annually. The U.S. came to believe in 1997, for instance, that North Korea had built an underground nuclear facility in Kumchang-ri. The administration still dishonestly maintained that all was well with the Agreed Framework. On July 8, 1998, Albright told Congress, the Agreed Framework had “frozen North Korea’s dangerous nuclear-weapons program.” When intelligence about the suspect site at Kumchang-ri became public in August 1998, Albright told frustrated senators at a hearing that she hadn’t known about the information until later in July. The head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, present at the hearing, had to interrupt her: “Madame Secretary, that is incorrect.” She had been told many months earlier.

On August 31, 1998, North Korea launched what was initially believed to be a two-stage Taepodong 1 (TD1) missile eastward over Japan. The first stage of the missile fell into international waters roughly 400 miles east of the launch site, and the second stage flew over Japanese territory, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean approximately 930 miles from the launch site.

The government's refusal to participate in global free markets and its refusal to publicise economic data limit the amount of reliable information available. Publicly-owned industry produces nearly all manufactured goods. The regime continues to focus on heavy military industry at the expense of agriculture.
