Reuters reported that Norsk Hydro ASA has signed cooperation agreements with oil firms, Silverstone Energy Ltd and Wilderness Energy, for heavy oil exploration on the British continental shelf. Norsk Hydro will fund further exploration programs in exchange for up to 50 per cent equity in the relevant licenses (P-1207, P-1282 and P-1496), as well as having the option to take over the operatorship.
