Nissan Altima

The second generation Nissan Altima (codenamed L30) was an American market-only version, again styled by Nissan's California design center. Most of its mechanicals came from the previous Altima, though the body was slightly larger and reportedly 20% stiffer, and the tracks were widened. A new interior brought a better glovebox and cupholders, a folding back seat (except on XE), and depowered airbags. While total volume remained identical at 108 cubic feet, most felt it was distributed better and resulted in a slightly roomier-feeling cabin. On the downside, many were let down by the new model's plainer styling and cheapened interior; some ... felt the gas pedal was now too lightly sprung.
Nissan Altima appearance in North America was in 1993. It was small (slightly bigger than Toyota Corolla) fairly reliable, non-distinctive average Japanese-looking car. In 1998 it was redesigned slightly and received new body with very similar look. However, the 2002 Altima was a huge step forward for Nissan. It's bigger, taller, more stylish and very impressive overall. Despite the bigger size it's just about 70 pounds heavier than its predecessor - the trunk lid and the hood made from aluminium as well as front and rear suspension components.

The 2006 Nissan Altima has come a long way from its 1993 version. It runs on a 2.5L, 4 cylinder engine with 16 valves. It has a 5-speed manual transmission. The current engine produces 175 HP, and is a gas engine with the sequential electronic fuel injection system. The model incorporates disc brakes in the front and rear, and ... independent front and rear suspensions. The vehicle gives mileage of 25 miles/gallon on city roads and 31 miles/gallon on highways.
2007 Nissan Altima The Nissan Altima debuted in 1993 as a replacement for the Nissan Stanza. While the initial model was based upon the Japanese Nissan Bluebird, the second generation Altima was a uniquely American vehicle. Designed in California and released exclusively in North America in 1998, it featured a slightly retooled engine and exterior. The third Altima was released in 2002, with increased size and engine power, and was the 2002 "North American Car of the Year." In 2005, the sporty SE-R Altima was introduced, featuring upgraded brakes, suspension, and exhaust, in addition to cosmetic differences. But this year marks a brand new Altima model.
2007 Nissan Altima The first generation Nissan Altima entered the spotlight in 1993 as a replacement for the Stanza. The Altima had more room for the passengers in the back to stretch their legs and rest their heads. The Altima was made as a compact that came in entry-level, GXE, SE, and GLE models. All models were powered by a twin-cam 2.4 Liter, 4-cylinder engine. All models, except The GLE version were equipped with a five-speed manual transmission. The GLE was equipped with a four speed automatic transmission.
