Chevron has a large acreage position in deepwater offshore Nigeria, with interests in 10 deepwater blocks. The Agbami Field lies 70 miles (113 km) offshore the central Niger Delta, spanning 45,000 acres (182 sq. km). Ongoing development drilling and completion operations were conducted throughout 2006. Work ... continues on the floating, production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) as well as on the manufacturing of subsea equipment. The project is targeting an estimated 900 million barrels of oil equivalent that are potentially recoverable, with initial production scheduled for 2008. Chevron's share of interest in the unit agreement is 68.2 percent.
