"Nicole Richie has decided to undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she's not been putting on any weight," says her rep in a statement issued to People. "She is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition. It is important to Nicole that she achieves this goal in a healthy way as this is not a treatment for an eating disorder."

If anything, reports of Nicole Richie collapsing at Hyde early yesterday morning will take some of the attention away from news last week that she'd checked herself into rehab for her "inability" to gain weight. Or, you know, only fuel speculation that she's an anorexic coke fiend.

In October it was announced that Richie was seeking help in gaining weight. Her rep claimed that she was physically unable to gain weight and denied rumors that she suffered from anorexia or bulimia. Her rep said in October, "She is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition. It is important to Nicole that she achieves this goal in a healthy way as this is not a treatment for an eating disorder." She has reportedly been slowly putting on weight since then and a friend said, "She wants to prove she’s trying to change."
