Richie was arrested after driving in the wrong direction on a freeway in Burbank last December. She failed a field sobriety test and admitted to having had smoked marijuana and taken the painkiller Vicodin.

According to various news sources, Richie allegedly admitted to an arresting officer that she smoked marijuana and took the prescription drug Vicodyn prior to the arrest. Richie allegedly failed a series of field sobriety tests, but was not given a breathalyzer because she was not believed to be drunk driving.

Workman said Richie was placed under arrest after she failed a field sobriety test, and that she admitted to officers that she had taken the prescription painkiller Vicodin and smoked marijuana. A preliminary alcohol screening test was negative, he said.
