Nicole Richie is eating these days – good move to nourish her baby. Bad move – allegedly she’s still smoking. At least according to that deliciously crazy old bat Cindy Adams. Cindy says Nicole was in NYC last week and lit up on at least two occasions even though she’s over six months pregnant. Full Story

Richie arrived at jail with her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. Her time at the Century Regional Detention Facility was spent getting booked, including taking a mugshot and submitting her fingerprints, Holley said.

[F]ar Richie and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, don't know whether they are having a boy or a girl. She admits that she's curious, but Madden has been with her for every doctor's visit so she hasn't been able to ask on her own. "I'm nosy," she said.

Yesterday, she and her hubby took theirphilanthropy to the next level, launching the Richie-Madden Children's Foundation in honor of the couple's baby, due in January. Onehundred needy moms and moms-to-be at the LA Free Clinic were presented with $200,000 worth of goods by Richie and Madden and the couple were amazed and delighted with the response they got. Well if you were in financial straits and Santa Claus came early, you'd be over the moon, too!
