However even with all these great acts Nicolas Cage suffers from severe MFS (melting face syndrome) this causes each of his new movies to be released features a more elongated goo-like face. It has also caused his vopice to sound like that of a Memphis born goose.
Tom Welles (Nicolas Cage) is a surveillance expert on the rise. He's living the American dream with a wife, Amy (Catherine Keener), infant daughter, and a house in the suburbs of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After the completion of an assignment for a U.S. Senator, Welles is summoned to the house of a recently deceased captain of industry. His widow, in settling his estate, has discovered an 8MM film in her late husband's private safe. The silent short depicts the apparent murder of a young woman by a large, masked figure, what is known as a "snuff" film. Greatly disturbed by the film's contents, the widow hires Welles to find the identity of the woman and determine if she is still alive.

Michael Pena, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Maria Bello have been cast in Paramount Pictures' upcoming untitled World Trade Center project, which stars Nicolas Cage and will be directed by Oliver Stone from a screenplay written by Andrea Berloff. Pena will portray Port Authority police officer William J. Jimeno, one of the last two men rescued from the collapsed buildings, and Gyllenhaal will portray his wife, Allison. Maria Bello will play Donna, wife of Sgt. John McLoughlin, the officer who was trapped in the rubble with Jimeno; Nicolas Cage will play McLoughlin. The film is produced by Double Feature Films' Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher and former InterMedia Films chairman Moritz Borman. Debra Hill will ... be credited, posthumously, as a producer. Shamberg and Sher said, "As we cast this project, we brought the actors together with the real-life heroes they'll be playing.

The Oscar winner made the semi-retirement announcement over the weekend at the third annual Bahamas International Film Festival. “I’m thinking about taking more time in between movies,” the 42-year-old actor told the Associated Press. “I feel I’ve made a lot of movies already and I want to start exploring other opportunities that I can apply myself to, whether it’s writing or other interests that I may develop.” While Cage may be reducing his workload, he was quick to note he’s not taking himself out of the Hollywood game completely. The World Trade Center star, who has appeared in more than 55 films over his three-decade career, currently has eight movies in the pipeline including National Treasure II next Christmas.
