Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, Isaiah Washington and Keith David are set to star in "Blood on a Happy Face" for writer-director Rick Thompson. Lensing is scheduled to begin Aug. 1 in Manhattan and later move to Brooklyn. The project is described as a quick-paced action-drama in the vein of "Reservoir Dogs." It centers on an undercover agent (Washington) who gets caught up in the underbelly of Brooklyn. His world is turned upside down when the woman he loves double-crosses him as part of an elaborate scheme to steal a large sum of money. It's then up to him to save his own life.

By the time Nick Carter was 15 he had appeared in commercials and was auditioning for TV roles. It was at an audition for a Nickelodeon series where Nick met A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough. None of them got the job, but the three had spent the waiting hours harmonizing and realized they had something good. Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter was charged Tuesday with drunken driving, prosecutors said. Carter, 25, faces one count of driving under the influence and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above 0.08, said Assistant District Attorney Ted Burnett.
