In the past six years Newt Gingrich has emerged as one of the true thought-leaders on the crucial issues facing the future of America. With a brilliance for clearly communicating his ideas, Gingrich gives audiences a new, fresh perspective on the driving forces behind the economy, national security, the war on terrorism, improving education and transforming healthcare, while exploring the impact these issues have on our public and private institutions as well as our personal lives. In talks that are crafted individually for each event, audiences are taken with Gingrich's eloquence, charm, humor and mastery of the issues. He has a way of getting people to think differently about the forces at play in their daily lives, while offering an understanding of the nuances that helps them make better choices as consumers, as citizens, as business people, and as families. Gingrich is ... author of seven books including his latest releases, Saving Lives & Saving Money and Gettysburg: A Novel of the Civil War.

Ah, Newt Gingrich is forever young. His secret, keep having affairs and keep getting married. Congratulations are in order once again. The Newtster just wed a congressional aide 23 years his junior, with whom he was having an adulterous affair while he scurrilously attacked Clinton for having an adulterous liaison. About 150 guests attended the wedding in Alexandria, Virginia. His new bride, Callista, might want to keep some pin money around.

If this dispatch is right, Newt Gingrich has gone sour on the whole GOP field, professing that this tempts him to join the race. Which is odd when you consider that just a little while ago Gingrich co-authored a published piece with a guy who is the former mayor of New York and front-running Republican candidate -- outlining what they called the possible path to a winning strategy in Iraq. The piece probably helped Giuliani's creds. Had Newt figured on Rudy fading by now?

The matter came up when Gingrich was asked by evangelical leader James Dobson, leader of the group Focus on the Family to respond to rumors that have floated around for years. Most pundits think the question was pre-arranged in what Pat Buchanan describes as a "controlled burn" put out to jump ahead of a story that was sure to come out anyway. Buchanan continued "you put it out first, in the expectation you won't have a firestorm - say in Iowa in January. Mr. Gingrich is known as a very smart politician who is thought to be considering jumping into the race in the fall.

According to other Gingrich associates, their man had held off any plans for entering the race until seeing how well Thompson’s launch would proceed. “In Newt’s eyes, it’s been mixed. Some good, some bad. But what he’s been looking for are details and ideas from Thompson, many of which he’s shared with him, but there’s been nothing, no specifics,” says another adviser. “Newt still sees an opening.”
