On Saturday, Newt Gingrich gave the commencement address to the 2007 graduating class of Liberty University. Having already cozied up to James Dobson, and establishing himself as the would-be candidate of the religious right for ‘08, he used his address both to praise the university’s recently-deceased bigot-founder, Jerry Falwell, and to rail against what he called a “growing culture of radical secularism”. Here’s a sampling of his advice to the graduates:

Newt Gingrich's entrance into CPAC was planned for someone who expected to win the straw poll. Though he didn't win the poll outright, Newt effectively did win the straw poll. He tied Romney for 30% of total votes, coming in just behind Rudy Giuliani's 34%. But Gingrich was received to a louder ovation than any other candidate throughout the convention, with much of the auditorium chanting "Newt!" before he even entered the room.

Newt Gingrich was born Newton McPherson in 1943, in Pennsylvania. His parents divorced soon after he was born and when his mother re-married, he was adopted by her new husband, Robert Gingrich.
