Newspaper Articles: Paper
built 187 days ago
Newspaper articles are fun to read ... and there are many interesting things you can find in the newspaper that you might never find online. If you love reading the paper, but you don’t have the time any more, you can pay the fee (if your favorite newspaper offers the service) so that you can read your paper from your computer each day. This is great for someone with little time in the morning, but a long commute on the train, as long as they can get a connection, that is. Otherwise, you might just need to buy the newspaper articles the old fashioned way instead.

Newspaper articles from major United States and international papers are widely available in electronic form. Many of these include backfiles dating to the 1970s or 1980s. HSU users can access searchable collections of electronic fulltext newspaper articles by clicking here.

Though the Internet is full of news, it is not possible to read every single newspaper article from the computer. Though almost every single newspaper out there has a web site, they often limit what they put on their site as compared to what you might find in the paper that is delivered to the home. They want people to read the news online, but they ... want everyone to have a reason to continue to read the paper each morning. The internet is putting a ding in their subscription rates.
