Newfoundland: Breeds
built 645 days ago
The Newfoundland is generous with love and affection. They are very sociable and friendly to visitors they know. They have a keen sense of responsibility and are excellent with children. They become so attached to their families that they cannot ever adapt to a new home or environment. They are generally good with other pets. This breed thrives on human companionship.

The Newfoundland requires weekly care and grooming. All dog breeds require a certain amount of grooming and care is necessary to keep dogs and puppies looking at their best. Grooming consists of not only brushing out the coat and bathing but ... giving attention to the eyes, teeth, ears, feet and nails. A regular routine also ensures that any potential health problems are identified as quickly as possible, especially important in puppies and older Newfoundland dogs.

The act of clubbing a dangerous baby seal to death is a traditional coming-of-age activity in Newfoundland. Pot-smoking vegetarians like Paul McCartney have for many years mounted a vicious campaign against this ancient craft, but Newfoundlanders argue that this sentimental attitude ignores the scientifically proven fact that seals are creatures of Beelzebub. Seals come to Newfoundland, take local jobs, steal local women, destroy property with their laser-beam eyes, or worse, sponge off the taxpayers by claiming unemployment benefit which is only $300 every 2 weeks. And they eat all the cod, which has disappeared entirely due to seals, not to the massive trawlers with their drag-nets and drag-queens. Indeed, some of the massive trawlers are piloted by crews of seals. The seals have recently attempted a breeding program in order to grow to a sufficient number to take over the country but the clubbing has ... increased and has more than made up for the new seals being produced.
