Robert McLaughlin, the deputy director and general counsel for the New York State Lottery, has been named as director. Robert McLaughlin has worked for the lottery since 2004. In his new position he will be responsible for all aspects of the lottery system, including ticket sales, personnel, and budget.
Beginning August 21 through September 1 the Empire Service and Maple Leaf trains shown below will make a special stop at the New York State Fairgrounds. The special stop is just steps away from the entrance to the Mohegan Sun Grandstand at the Fairgrounds.

The supersized remake of the 1933 classic film, about an oversized ape who is taken from his home on Skull Island to Manhattan to become a sideshow attraction and is ultimately soothed by the love of blond actress Ann Darrow (in this case, Naomi Watts), had its world premiere in Times Square Monday night.
