NEW YORK, June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The New York Mets and Banco Popular are encouraging kids to learn, have fun and exercise their imagination during the summer, through their support of the Summer Reading 2005 initiative. As part of this initiative, three public libraries in New York City -- The New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, and Queens Library -- have organized a series of events that will be held throughout the summer, for kids of all ages.

The Bronx is one of New York City's "must see" communities. It is one of the five boroughs of New York City located in the North American mainland, in the south of Westchester County. The Bronx was bought from the Indians by the Dutch West India Company, in 1639, which was a part of New Amsterdam.

At the last minute, Cablevision and the YES Network came to an agreement to have Cablevision carry New York Yankees' games to its 3 million subscribers in the New York City area. Under the one-year deal, Cablevision will add the YES Network to premium packages for no additional fee. Other customers can get the network for an additional $1.95 per month or as part of a sports package for $4.95 monthly.
