Since their "Home Again" reunion in 1996, the members of New Edition have been relatively quiet as far as new albums have been concerned. A few N.E. compilations have been released such as: Solo Hits, All the #1's, Lost In Love.

At present, New Edition is currently working on their eighth studio album with all six members, hence their second album as a sextet. Though it remains uncertain/unannounced which label will be releasing the project and that would be Geffen/Interscope Records which released their greatest hits album for the past years. The team that has been instrumental in most of their success, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, is expected to handle 90% of the album's production and writing duties. In 2006, The group signed with Geffen Records and Interscope Records both owned by David Geffen and Jimmy Iovine since their MCA Records had been absorbed by Geffen. Also in the works are a bio-book and a mini-series about the group.
