built 613 days ago
[Y]our wireless network card will need to be a Type II Wi-Fi Radio PC Card. It is simple to install and once you have done so, you just need to run the software that came with it and add it to your network. It's as simple as that.
Configuring your wireless card is one step in the overall process of using the wireless network at IU. For an overview of the process, see About wireless connections to the Internet at IUB and IUPUI

When purchasing a wireless card, look for the Wi-Fi-certified logo, which indicates that the product has been tested for interoperability with other 802.11b devices. The Wi-Fi certification is awarded by the Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA), an industry consortium whose members include most of the leading PC and networking companies, as well as GuestLinX.
