Neil Young Over the years, Neil Young has made excursions into country, blues, electro, rockabilly, and soul. Early in his career, he formed the band Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills. He was then part of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young — which eventually morphed into Crosby, Stills and Nash when Young embarked on a solo career.

Neil Young Tickets Neil Young was born in Toronto, Canada and became interested in music in high school. Young played with a few garage bands and he played the local club and coffee house scene. Young got frustrated with his career not going so well in Canada and moved to Los Angeles where he joined the band Buffalo Springfield. Buffalo Springfield became one of the leading rock bands in California. Young is back on stage and you can buy tickets today to see him live.

True to form, Young once again went acoustic for his next major release, 2000's Silver & Gold. It's one of his most intimate and openly autobiographical records, with touching tracks such as "Daddy Went Walkin'" and "Buffalo Springfield Again." Also worthwhile are the title track and the opener, "Good to See You."
There was much speculation over whether Young might turn up for an unscheduled performance, with former Buffalo Springfield band mate Richie Furay's Thursday set at Antone's emerging as the logical spot. It never happened, but in Heart of Gold, Young offers a more permanent and graceful souvenir of his gift.
