1. Erica Blasberg -- Ncaa Freshman
   At the University of Arizona, Blasberg was a two-time All-America from 2003-04, named 2003 NCAA Freshman of the Year and recorded six collegiate tournament wins. In 2004, Blasberg turned pro and played on the Futures Tour, where she ranked four top-ten finishes during the events, including a remarkable win at the Laconia Savings Bank Futures Golf Classic. In 2005, Blasberg joined the LPGA after tying for 32nd place at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, earning non-exempt status.

4. Tiger Woods -- Masters Tournament
   On April 13, 1997, Tiger Woods made golfing history when he won the prestigious Masters tournament of golf. The win was a record breaker in many ways. Woods, at age twenty-one, was the youngest person ever to win the Masters Tournament. He beat the competition with a record-breaking score of 270 for seventy-two holes. He secured the win with a twelve-stroke lead, the largest victory margin in the history of the tournament. Woods, a man of ethnic complexity, further distinguished himself as the first non-white to win the Masters, and in doing so he helped to dissolve many stereotypical notions and attitudes regarding minorities in the sport of golf.

   The Balcones Escarpment marks the western margin of the Gulf Coastal Plain; in central Texas the line is visible in a series of waterfalls and rough, tree-covered hills. To the west lie the south central plains and the Edwards Plateau; they are essentially extensions of the Great Plains but are sharply divided from the high, windswept, and canyon-cut Llano Estacado (Staked Plain) in the W Panhandle by the erosive division of the Cap Rock Escarpment.

7. Delaware State University -- Lady Hornets
   Norfolk, VA – The Delaware State Hornets extended their win streak to six and improved to 8-2 (6-1 MEAC) with a 33-10 win over the Spartans of Norfolk State University. The loss dropped NSU to 3-7 (1-7 MEAC) and extended their losing streak to six. The win ... kept the Hornets in a tie for the MEAC Championship with Hampton University.
8. Tulane -- Conference Usa
   Tulane's women's basketball program has found recent success under the coaching of Lisa Stockton, who began at Tulane in 1995. That year, Stockton led the team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance and was named Metro Conference Coach of the Year. That first appearance then grew into 9 consecutive NCAA Tournament berths. The team has been regular-season C-USA champions three times, most recently in the 2006-2007 season, when they held a 24-5 record (13-3 in C-USA). In addition, they have won the C-USA tournament 4 times, once in 1997 and then three years in a row (from 1999-2001). Lisa Stockton is the winningest coach in C-USA history and was recently named 2006-2007 C-USA Coach of the Year.[3] 2006-2007 seniors Jami Montagnino (ranked 5th in NCAA Division I teams in free-throw percentage[4]) and D'Aundra Henry proved essential to the team's success, both hitting 1,000 points for their careers in that season.
9. Texas a M -- Teams
   The challenge for Texas A&M usually isn't with assembling talent. Several of the recruiting classes signed by former coach Dennis Franchione ranked among the nation's finest. Yet Franchione couldn't cash in on whatever success he was perceived to have with top-notch prospects. Over five seasons, he went 32-28 with the Aggies and was forced to resign last season before his team capped a 7-6 season with a loss in the Alamo Bowl.
10. League -- Season
    DENVER, CO – The World Combat League’s second season began by kicking the roof off the Denver Coliseum. Opening Night saw a pair of critical Western Conference match-ups take place as the L.A Stars faced off with the Oklahoma Destroyers and the hometown Denver Fury took on the Texas Dragons.
