The Nature Conservancy - Protecting nature, Preserving Life The Nature Conservancy is the largest conservation user of Geographic Information Systems. The systems are used to produce maps, conduct spatial analysis of landscapes and manage conservation data. An assessment of the Conservancy's 400 offices was conducted to determine the GIS needs and capabilities of the organization. According to Frank Biasi, director of conservation systems for the Conservancy, this gift will provide GIS capabilities to each field office and individual who needs and can utilize it.

Visual Nature Studio is a 3D visualization program for Microsoft Windows, developed as an enhanced version of 3D Nature's "World Construction Set" software. The program produces photorealistic still images or animations of real or fictional landscapes by using digital elevation model (DEM) and geographic information system (GIS) data as input. Considered state-of-the-art, the software has been used by major universities and press agencies to generate images of 3D terrain.
Green By Nature ... had a show garden at the 2006 Garden World Nursery, where the best water feature was awarded and a gold certificate obtained. The garden, to the value of R175,000 was given away as a prize in conjunction with The Gardener magazine. Green By Nature will be at the Garden World Show gardens in 2007 again with a unique new design which is intended to be a show stopper.

Lighting and Garden Electrics – Green By Nature's member David Spagnolo is an electrician and can sign off all exterior electrical work done. Green By Nature has its own in house electrical team, so all electrical work is done to a high level of standards and is managed in house.
