Natasha is here! This multi-talented high school senior who was discovered while working in a Subway sandwich shop in New Jersey, was signed by Rodney Jerkins' Darkchild Entertainment to Jive Records and is preparing to release her debut album in 2007. Even though Natasha was an orphan, she had many people who cared very deeply for her. The most notable of these was Dr. Dora Dragneva who looked after the children in the orphanage in Moldova were Natasha lived for two years. Dr. Dora traveled to Indiana with Natasha. She stayed at Natasha's side during her operations and her stay at St. Vincent's hospital. She stayed in Indiana with Natasha the entire seven weeks she was here and she showered her with "around the clock" love and care. Natasha adopted Dr. Dora as her "Mama."

Born in Moscow in May 1987, Natasha began her piano studies at the age of 4 with Nina Malikova at the Andreyev School of Music in Moscow. In 1995 she emigrated with her family to the United States, and became a U.S. citizen in 2001. Since then she has studied both privately and at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Natasha currently holds a full scholarship as a student of Pavlina Dokovska at Mannes College of Music in Manhattan, New York.

Whether she is avoiding the unwelcome scrutiny of the KGB or being chased by a car full of Abkasian bandits on a lonely Belarus highway; Natasha delights in life, even in the face of hardship. After a life-threatening illness, the young artist could no longer risk exposure to the toxic materials of etching and ceramics. She turned instead to the liquid flowing medium of painting with dyes on silk. Fully aware of her own mortality, she began to live as if there were no tomorrow.

In Spring 1996 Natasha was juried into Sculpture in the Park, Loveland, CO, 13th Annual International Show. For this August 1996 show, Joy made small changes, had her cast in bronze and mounted on dark green marble. The original Polychromed Hydrocal was completed in 1991.

As a young woman Natasha Bedingfield attended art college but was advised to study art therapy since she was so interested in the pyschological content of her own paintings. Natasha believes her interest in psychology impacts the lyrical content of her songs. After two years juggling school and her music, Natasha Bedingfield decided to pursue music full time.
