In the original one shot of "Naruto," Naruto Uzumaki is the son of a powerful fox demon, whose spirit was sealed away by nine powerful warriors. Only one person, the current chief of the village of the demon fox spirits on Mt. Oinari with a large resemblance to the Third Hokage from the current series, survived, and he took on the duty of raising Naruto. Naruto... is mischievous and a trouble maker, pulling multiple pranks on others with each passing day. The village chief, angry, sends Naruto on special training to the human world to find a human friend he can trust, otherwise he would not be welcome to the village any longer.

Naruto (written ナルト in Japanese) is a manga (Japanese comic) made by Masashi Kishimoto. It was ... made into an anime (an animated series). The main character is called Naruto Uzumaki. He is a very loud ninja who wants to become "Hokage". The Hokage is the strongest ninja and the leader of Naruto's village, called Konoha (meaning "hidden leaf" in Japanese).

Naruto can mean "maelstrom," and is ... the name for a sliced stick of Kamaboko with a pink whirlpool design in the middle that is used as a topping for Ramen which is also Naruto's favorite food. The surname "Uzumaki" is a pun on "spiral" (渦巻), while "Uzumaki" refers to a three-dimensional spiral, like a whirlpool or vortex. A more accurate translation for spiral would be "Rasen." The Konoha leaf symbol is drawn with an arrow attached to a spiral, part of the seal on his abdomen is a spiral, the symbol on the back of his jacket and shoulders is a spiral, and one of his attacks is Rasengan, which means "Spiraling Sphere." "Uzumaki" can also mean "whirlpool," in reference to the Naruto whirlpool (鳴門の渦潮), named after the city of Naruto.

In Naruto the series, you will meet such main characters as Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake. Naruto Uzumaki of course is the character the series is centered around. Each one of these young people has the desire to learn to become ninja's.

Naruto was born on October 10th to Minato Namikaze the Fourth Hokage, and Kushina Uzumaki a ninja from the former Whirlpool Country, and was named after the lead character in Jiraiya's book. As a newborn infant, the nine-tailed demon fox, which had attacked the village of Konoha, was sealed within Naruto's body by his father.
